Job Position: Chemical Production Technician

Location: Bryan, OH

Department: AVantage Liquid Photopolymer

Summary:

The employee will be part of a small, highly focused group that is responsible for the manufacturing and testing of chemical products.  

Minimum Requirements:

  • Basic math skills, addition and subtraction, using decimals
  • Basic working knowledge of chemistry and safety
  • Able to work effectively with a variety of personalities
  • Operate a forklift
  • Pass the fit test and use a respirator
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Able to read and follow writtern work instructions
  • Experience using and reading measuring devices (Preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Testing
    • Learn and perform incoming material testing on a regular basis
    • Ensure incoming materials meet specifications
    • Analyze and interprets test results and acts as necessary  
  • Production
    • Aid throughout the production process from addition of chemicals to in-process testing
    • Start and complete batches according to published schedule and documented procedures
    • Operates process with valves, pumps
    • Handling of liquids and powders
    • Able to use and interpret measuring devices
  • Safety and administration
    • Prepares and completes all paperwork and data entry associated with batches
    • Reports spills and dangerous situations to supervisor
    • Maintain safe and clean work environment
    • Maintains understanding of respirator program requirements
