Dental Director – Oregon

Klamath Falls, Oregon, United States Talent Questor Full time $140,000 - $180,000 per year

Your Story Begins Here

Imagine stepping into a clinic where dental care is more than fillings and cleanings — it's about building a healthier community. As the new Dental Director, you'll lead both clinical care and the strategic direction of oral health services, ensuring access, quality, and growth for underserved populations. You'll balance patient care with leadership, mentoring, compliance, and quality improvement, all while shaping the future of dental health in your region.

Roughly half of your time will be in the clinic, treating patients, guiding clinical decisions, and interacting directly with your team. The other half will be spent in leadership — creating protocols, overseeing provider performance, managing accreditation, liaising with regulatory bodies, and contributing to strategic planning.

What You'll Take On

  • Lead and supervise the dental department: clinical workflows, performance evaluations, provider meetings
  • Develop and maintain clinical policies, CQI programs, accreditation, and compliance systems
  • Represent the dental service in leadership meetings, act as liaison to external agencies
  • Hire, orient, mentor, and evaluate providers (including locums and trainees)
  • Assume decision-making authority during the CEO's absence for clinical operations

What You Bring

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited program
  • Valid Oregon dental license (or ability to obtain), along with required certifications
  • Preferably 3+ years in community health, FQHC, or underserved settings
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; experience in building trust across teams
  • Familiarity with regulatory, licensing, and compliance in a health center environment
  • Willingness to work some evenings/weekends as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140, $180,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • 401(k)
  • Family leave
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
