Childcare School – Curriculum Specialist
Education & Experience
- At least 2 years of classroom experience in a well-known childcare franchise.
- Must have 1 year or more of phonics teaching experience.
- Able to communicate well and encourage others.
- Always dependable and follows through with all tasks.
- A great role model for teachers and maintains a strong, organized classroom.
- Must meet and keep up with all state training and licensing rules.
- Experience using ProCare or other childcare software is a big plus.
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Keeps up with new ideas and practices in early childhood education.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Check teachers' weekly lesson plans to make sure the curriculum is being followed every day.
- Help plan and organize school-wide learning events and activities.
- Handle teacher supply requests, keep track of materials, and make shopping lists when needed.
- Help with training and onboarding new teachers.
- Work with teachers to keep classrooms clean, organized, and high-quality.
- Keep a list of all curriculum materials and supplies during the school year and summer.
- Help with ordering classroom and learning supplies each year.
- Keep staff training records and certificates up to date in files.
- Share and organize training sessions or workshops for teachers.
- Find and suggest professional development opportunities outside the school.
- Help with school bus runs and make sure safety rules are followed.
- Step in to cover classrooms or the kitchen when needed.
- Help create and manage school event calendars, newsletters, memos, and social media posts.
- Take care of other duties as needed to support school operations.
Key Skills & Abilities
- Must have experience in a franchise childcare school and understand structured routines.
- Good at organizing, making decisions, and solving problems.
- Friendly and able to communicate well with parents, teachers, and children.
- Can motivate and support staff in a positive way.
- Shows leadership and helps create a team-oriented environment.
- Willing to work full-time with some flexibility for occasional weekends or events.
- Professional attitude and takes pride in representing the school well.
- Understands state childcare rules and best practices for early learning.
- Knows how to handle classroom behavior in a calm and caring way.
- Always open to learning and improving through training.
Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
