Position Summary
Tarrytown Roofing LLC is seeking a strategic, hands-on Residential Sales Team Leader to drive performance, accountability, and growth across our residential roofing division. You will lead a team of Business Development Representatives and Residential Roofing Sales Specialists, ensuring alignment with our sales process, brand standards, and revenue goals.
This role requires a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the nuances of residential roofing sales, and can coach a team to consistently exceed expectations. You'll be responsible for developing talent, managing pipeline health, optimizing estimating accuracy, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Accountability
- Lead, manage, and hold all residential sales team members accountable for performance, professionalism, and client outcomes
- Set clear expectations for daily activity, weekly goals, and monthly revenue targets
- Conduct weekly one-on-one check-ins and team huddles to review KPIs, pipeline status, and strategic priorities
- Provide regular performance updates and actionable insights to the executive team
Sales Training & Development
- Deliver weekly coaching sessions tailored to each role:
- BDRs: Prospecting, lead qualification, and conversion strategies
- Sales Representatives:
- Appointment preparation, client engagement, and closing techniques
- Estimating best practices for accuracy, efficiency, and profitability
- Monthly reviews comparing pre-caps to final job financials to ensure estimating discipline and minimize variance
- Create and maintain a structured onboarding program for new hires
- Identify skill gaps and implement targeted development plans
Sales Process & Pipeline Oversight
- Ensure consistent execution of the residential sales SOP across all team members
- Monitor CRM activity daily to ensure accurate pipeline tracking, lead follow-up, and documentation
- Analyze funnel performance to maintain a healthy balance of top-, middle-, and bottom-funnel activity
- Implement strategies to improve conversion rates and shorten sales cycles
Estimating & Proposal Accuracy
- Oversee proposal development to ensure alignment with client needs and company profitability standards
- Review estimates for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Collaborate with operations to validate scope and ensure smooth project handoffs
- Track estimating variance and implement corrective actions as needed
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with marketing to align messaging, campaigns, and lead generation efforts
- Coordinate with production and finance teams to ensure seamless execution and forecasting
- Stay current on local market trends, competitor activity, and industry innovations to maintain a competitive edge

Success Metrics
- Sales team consistently meets or exceeds monthly and quarterly revenue goals
- CRM reflects accurate, real-time pipeline activity and lead status
- Estimating variance remains minimal, with strong alignment between proposals and final job costs
- Sales process is followed consistently, resulting in improved conversion rates and client satisfaction
- Team communication is strong, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and performance
- New hires ramp quickly and contribute to revenue within their first 90 days
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience leading residential sales teams, preferably in roofing, construction, or home services
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and developing high-performing teams
- Strong understanding of CRM systems, pipeline management, and sales operations
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Familiarity with roofing systems, estimating tools, and local building codes is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Projected Total Compensation: $75, $305,000.00 per year
