Job Overview

The Assistant General Manager at Courtyard Lewisville plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel, providing exceptional guest experiences while supporting the General Manager in various administrative and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will be multilingual or bilingual, enhancing communication with our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Supervise front desk staff and guest services team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
  • Manage revenue management strategies to maximize hotel profitability while maintaining high occupancy rates.
  • Handle guest relations effectively, addressing concerns and feedback to enhance overall satisfaction.
  • Conduct night audits and ensure accurate reporting of financial transactions.
  • Support human resources functions including staff training, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maintain knowledge of budgeting processes to assist in financial planning and resource allocation.
  • Utilize multi-line phone systems effectively, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when interacting with guests and vendors.

Experience

  • Proven experience in hotel management or a similar role within the hospitality industry is essential.
  • Supervising experience is required, with a focus on leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong background in customer service, with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with revenue management principles and budgeting processes is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with night audit procedures is a plus.
  • Multilingual or bilingual skills are preferred to enhance communication with guests from diverse backgrounds.
