  • Perform root cause investigations using fractography, metallography, and testing.
  • Own definition, qualification, and implementation of corrosion mitigations across all hardware.
  • Develop in-house material compatibility database through test.
  • Root cause corrosion-related findings and drive further action for continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Evidence of exceptional ability (prior projects, portfolio of work, completed products, etc).
  • Bachelor's degree in materials engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, or chemistry.
  • 2+ years of experience in a materials engineering related role.
  • 1+ years of experience with corrosion, coatings, paints and/or electrochemistry.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in corrosion engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, chemistry, or similar.
  • Understanding of mechanical testing methods for metals including fracture and fatigue.
  • Familiarity with standard testing methods for materials and development of design allowables.
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with UF6.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
