As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to prototype development for Directed Energy systems and capabilities We're looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to research, analyze, down -select, fabricate, test, and integrate complex electronic and RF subsystems and components to advance our non -kinetic weapon portfolio for our DoD warfighters. At Booz Allen, you'll use your engineering skills to transform DoD and Navy offerings. Our team develops next -generation weapons and combat systems. That's why we need you, an electrical engineer, who specializes in high -power RF or pulsed power to help us design and develop systems that can operate successfully against advanced threats in complex environments. On our team, you'll conduct scientific analysis and testing in a laboratory and field environment. You'll directly impact DoD by demonstrating unique or niche capabilities. We'll look to you to share your electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. The world can't wait.Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.10+ years of experience in pulsed power research, development, and test and evaluation of a wide variety of pulsed power systems10+ years of experience with high voltage, high peak power spark gaps, high voltage power supplies, and fast transient diagnostics5+ years of experience in laboratory or field -testing environments, including setting test goals, developing test methodologies, organizing and conducting tests, reducing test data, and analyzing resultsExperience with conducting both basic and applied researchExperience with modeling and simulation programs related to pulsed power systemsExperience with electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)Ability to work in high voltage environmentsAbility to work both independently and as part of a diverse, multi -disciplined teamAbility to travel CONUS 3 -4x annuallyBachelor's degree in Engineering or Science PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in combat or weapon system development, design, and integration for the US Navy or other Armed Services Experience with conducting testing for weapon effectivenessExperience with conducting RDT&E activities for Directed Energy (DE) systemsAbility to work both independently and as part of a diverse, multi -disciplined teamMaster's degree in Engineering or ScienceBenefits Grow With Us Your growth matters to us—that's why we offer a variety of ways for you to develop your career.
