The Manager, Supply Chain Mgmt. role for Mission Systems (MiS) supply chain requires someone who can lead strategic planning efforts and develop new growth strategies.  Leadership through influence and demonstrated project management expertise are essential for success in this position.  This is a pivotal role in the success of the Mission Systems supply chain team.  Deep cross functional networks, or the ability to establish strong networks in the Program Office, Manufacturing/Operations and Quality are critical for success. 

What You Will Do:

  • Represents the MiS supply chain focal point for the VP of Ops as needed / required
  • Drives Operational Excellence for the MiS supply chain team. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Lead for yearly Goal Alignment and partner with the CORE professionals to ensure solid plans are in place and focused on the KPI's that are of most importance
  • Supporting long range and annual operating planning
  • Partnering with central supply chain on asks that span multiple strategic business units
  • Providing awareness/updates on Operations and region initiatives
  • Partner with Procurement and Subcontracts teams to identify largest problem suppliers and ensure corrective actions are robust for OTD, supplier commits, supplier escapes, first pass yield and aged requisitions.
  • Conduit between the MiS supply chain team and Global Supplier Development (GSD) team, Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) team and the non-product team to help ensure service level agreements are in place and adhered to
  • Responsible for working across supply chain teams to aid in implementing and executing strategies to continuously improve and enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, quality, and overall performance of the MiS supply chain team in service to Operations and the Business.
  • Responsible for aiding in creating and fostering a team oriented, accountable environment
  • Assembles recurring deliverables (i.e. monthly OA materials) for both the Strategic Business Unit and the Central Supply Chain organizations – more detail in the "Tactical Deliverables" section
  • Travel approximately 25%

Tactical Deliverable Examples:

  • OA slide deck – Ensure all control towers are loaded, and any REDS are support by RCCA
  • Top 100 suppliers – Partner with central supply chain
  • Cost and Supplier performance – Partner with Mission Systems (MiS) Cost leads
  • Top 10 supplier risk slides (combination of GSD slides and MIS specific suppliers not on GSD radar). Monthly deck with recovery plans and short watchlist for supplier with degrading performance
  • Lead CORE leadership weeks in Q3 and Q4. Ensure at least 3 events are planned, have cross plant and/or cross functional participation and report outs are executed
  • Pull data and populate Procurement control tower (for all M6 leaders and overall, MiS).
  • Summarize/consolidate recognition and employee spotlights for broader distribution
  • Generate quality topics and speakers for Procurement and Supply Chain All-Hands. Help bring awareness to MIS initiatives like M-INT, new pursuits, SBU accomplishments. Coordinate with internal or external customers to represent "voice of the customer"

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have previous Operations knowledge.  Operations defined as "Big Operations" which includes Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Environmental Health & Safety, Logistics, HR, Finance

  • Demonstrated success in senior level leadership, planning and forecasting
  • Executive level communication and presentation skills  
  • Experience with and understanding of Collins Management System with ability to help manage change to RLPM
  • Multifaceted professional background to support network and influence capability
  • Experienced in partnering with cross-functional teams and leaders within a complex and sometimes ambiguous matrix organization

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
