Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with proficiency in various construction management software. This role involves evaluating project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with project teams to ensure successful project execution. The Project Estimator will play a crucial role in the planning and budgeting phases of demolition projects.

Responsibilities

  • Estimating: Prepare thorough and accurate cost estimates for demolition and excavation projects, including labor, materials, equipment, trucking and disposal costs.
  • Analyze project drawings, designs, and site conditions to develop detailed bid proposals.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to obtain precise pricing for demolition and excavation materials and services.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of historical costs, industry trends, and regulatory factors impacting pricing.
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of demolition and excavation projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings and foster effective communication between clients, team members, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, proactively addressing challenges and implementing corrective actions as needed.Keep track of progress payments and final billing on jobs.
  • Client and Stakeholder Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the demolition and excavation processes.
  • Conduct site meetings as needed to provide project updates and address any client concerns or modifications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and promote repeat business.
  • Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure that all projects adhere to safety regulations and environmental compliance standards specific to demolition and excavation work.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and confirm compliance with project specifications and safety protocols.
  • Manage waste disposal processes and recycling efforts to minimize environmental impact in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in estimating and project management within the demolition and excavation industry.
  • Strong understanding of demolition and excavation processes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with estimating and project management software.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks.
