Valmet is looking for an experienced Indirect Procurement Senior Manager to join our Indirect Procurement team in Global Supply.
The position is in United States, preferably in Shrewsbury, Atlanta, Houston or Beloit but other Valmet locations can be considered.
The Indirect Procurement function covers spend categories Personnel, Travel, Facilities, Marketing & Communication, MRO and Professional Services.
In this role, you will be leading Indirect procurement operations, development, strategy and supply base for North America Area. And contribute to Procurement transformation by optimizing footprint and strengthening cost-competitiveness and efficiency of Valmet's indirect procurement operation ensuring stakeholder and internal customer needs are met. You will also be a member of the Indirect Procurement Leadership team.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Knowledge and skills:
- Strategic ability to build globally competitive, resilient and sustainable indirect procurement operations. Ability to develop a high-performing team, collaborating with other units and suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic acumen, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to drive cost-efficient procurement activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills including extensive knowledge in managing stakeholders with geographically and culturally diverse setup.

Experience & education:
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain mgmt. or related field, with extensive experience in Indirect procurement organization
- 7+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement with 3+ of managerial roles, preferably in the context of global industrial manufacturing.
- Expertise in procurement excellence and development, with a proven track record in driving supplier negotiations, cost efficient procurement and strategic initiatives
