Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Receipts Specialist to compile, process, and maintain accounts receivable records. This role involves depositing and posting tenant cash receipts in a timely manner and ensuring accuracy in cash application, in compliance with SOX regulations.

Responsibilities

• Compile, process, and maintain accounts receivable records.
• Deposit tenant cash receipts (checks) the day of receipt or the following morning if received at the end of the day.
• Post tenant cash receipts (checks) promptly following the receipt.
• Review AR Associates' postings for accuracy within three days to ensure correct application of cash receipts.
• Ensure all cash receipts are posted by the 1st, 6th, 11th, and last day of the month.
• Apply all prepaid balances no later than the 16th of the month.
• Notify the Accounting Manager of any constraints impacting the depositing and posting of tenant receipts.
• Collaborate with Lease Administrators and Property Managers to address delinquent tenant accounts.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 1-5+ years of experience in accounts receivable, specifically in posting cash receipts.
• Proficiency in cash application and reconciliation.
• Experience with real estate accounting.
• Familiarity with MRI software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Yardi software.
• Accounting degree.
• Strong drive to make a quick impact.

Work Environment

The role requires a Monday to Friday schedule, from 8 AM to 4 PM, fully in-office due to the nature of receivables processing. This environment involves working closely with real estate and property accounting teams.

The pay range for this position is $ $24.00/hr.
