Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental practice as a Bilingual (not required) Dental Office Assistant, where you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient experiences You'll be the friendly face at the front desk, managing appointments, handling patient inquiries, and supporting our dental team with administrative tasks. Your contributions will help create a welcoming environment for our patients while maintaining the highest standards of care.
What you'll do
- Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Schedule appointments using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
- Verify insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing and pre-authorization submission
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing excellent customer service to patients
- Payment posting and account reconciliation
- Perform medical billing and coding tasks, including CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Support the dental team with clerical duties, including filing and data entry
Basic qualifications
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and phone etiquette
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in a dental office or clinic setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology, health information management, and dental terminology
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to enhance patient communication
