The Role

The Technical Account Manager role will work alongside the Head of Distribution to drive forward successful partnerships with our clients and work closely with the Vave underwriting team to ensure the delivery of the business plan.

You will be responsible for ensuring multiple clients, across our complete product offering, are maximizing on the potential of the Vave API products, and promoting successful growth opportunities for both Vave and our partners.

Within this role, you will continually look to understand usage of the Vave Product suite across all Vave partnerships and garner insights into the behavior of our partners and the wider marketplace. This will require the ability to interact with a wide variety of functions, both internal and external; business and technical.

You will collaborate with all other teams within Vave, including the Vave Analytics team to gain insights into our portfolio management and wider analytics tools, our product managers to become an expert in the products, and our development team to understand and contribute to the development of the API functionality that best serves our clients. Your understanding of the strengths and functionality of the product will be invaluable in discussions with current and prospective clients.

The role will be ideal for a technical candidate with excellent communication skills and a desire to work closely with our partners in a client-facing capacity, to help shape the future growth of Vave.

Responsibilities

  • Key client facing analytics advocate, delivering regular insights to product partners to bolster their success with Vave products.
  • Develop or Establish a suite of analytics tools and queries, to support the Vave client team strengthen partner relationships through first class client support and feedback.
  • Drive new Vave product usage analytics internally to Product and Data teams and externally to clients assuming a central role between internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the Vave integration process with our clients through data-led KPI's post integration.
  • Collaborate with Vave product teams to gain an expert understanding in the technical workings of the product chain from underwriting guidelines, validation, and API rating methodology and use this insight to drive useful client discussions on how Vave products are being used.
  • First line of support for clients; answering questions on product offering and troubleshoot BAU technical issues.
  • Collaborate and learn from the dedicated Vave development team to bring a consistent approach to client specific tooling and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee the development of internal tools that improve client experience using "boots on the ground" knowledge and a range of data sources from discussions with external business and technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Previous Experience in a technical client facing role. Having worked as part of a product analytics team or analysing the use of API technology in a B2B environment highly beneficial
  • Experience with MI/BI tooling and analytics. Having led or worked within a team delivering customer experience metric reporting to provide actionable insights from KPIs.
  • Working proficiency/Advanced SQL skills required (Python, C# and other languages a bonus – success in this role supported by ability to understand existing code and infrastructure features within the API.)
  • Solid understanding of REST API technology principles and ability to tests and debug integrations.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate with both technical and business teams and drive outcomes for both parties
  • Proven track record for project management and experience with business requirement documentation beneficial
  • Understanding of/experience within an insurance company or MGA e.g. Catastrophe Modelling, solutions, analytics also a plus
  • Experience of US insurance market and perils highly advantageous
  • Excellent business and communication skills evidenced by experience preparing and running demos/meetings with external stakeholders & internal team.
  • Excellent Excel skills a must

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
