Public Health Project Coordinator – Quality Improvement Under the supervision of the Public Health Project Leader, the Public Health Project Coordinator – Quality Improvement will be responsible for coordinating the Detroit Health Department's (DHD) process improvement activities. They must be a self-starter, be able to work independently and collaboratively as a part of the quality management team to help guide continuous quality improvement (CQI) projects.This role will also support the buildout of a department-wide QI culture including the use of Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles and Lean tools as part of ongoing performance and accreditation efforts.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Program Implementation Assist with the implementation of CQI projects across DHD programs and services.Support the planning and facilitation of QI-related trainings, projects and development toolkits to support quality improvement efforts.Team Development Contribute to a team that is dedicated to achieving excellence in programming and policy to advance division goals.Promotes a strong internal quality culture through collaboration and ongoing learning.Quality Improvement Work with division leadership, program managers and department peers to advance positive organizational culture development. Coordinate and monitor QI projects across divisions, support corrective action planning, and promote the use of data and metrics in decision-making. Facilitate the use of PDSA cycles and Lean tools to support continuous improvement efforts in alignment with accreditation requirements.OtherOther duties assigned by supervisor.
