As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
As a Technical Program Manager on the Pixel and Camera team, you will manage the full lifecycle of technical programs critical to the success of Pixel and Extended Reality Camera. You will drive the development and delivery of new camera features, hardware components integration, software releases, and quality improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for a program's success from conception through launch, ensuring alignment between engineering, product, and other stakeholders.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:- Identify and resolve gaps in current processes/tools needed to ensure delivery of releases with stability.
- Manage the lifecycle of technical programs within the Pixel and Camera team, which may involve new feature development, hardware integration, software releases, or cross-functional quality initiatives.
- Navigate camera hardware, software stacks (e.g., Android Camera APIs, image processing pipelines, AI/ML models), and their interdependencies.
- Build relationships and ensure alignment across teams with potentially differing priorities.
- Drive the process for shipping new camera features, from initial concept and scoping through development, testing, and launch.
