About This Role
PlanetBids is looking for an experienced
Product Manager
to join our collaborative R&D team. In this role, you'll help shape, build, and deliver innovative products that make a real impact for our customers. You'll serve as the connection point between our users, stakeholders, and development team, ensuring our products not only meet customer needs but also align with our strategic goals. Requirements
Role Responsibilities

  • Champion customer needs by conducting market research, interviews, and competitive analysis to uncover opportunities
  • Partner cross-functionally to deliver solutions that create measurable customer and market impact, launching MVPs that test positioning and drive adoption
  • Validate ideas through data, experimentation, and user feedback before committing to full development
  • Collaborate with Design to translate user needs into intuitive, accessible experiences
  • Lead the product lifecycle from discovery and planning through design, testing, development, and launch
  • Develop and support go-to-market strategies, including positioning, pricing input, and adoption plans
  • Collaborate with Operations, Customer Success, and Support to translate product changes into internal and customer-facing documentation
  • Define and track success metrics tied to customer adoption, retention, and satisfaction to guide roadmap priorities and growth strategy
  • Establish a healthy backlog of user stories, participate in scrum ceremonies, and collaborate closely with Engineering and QA to create iterative value for the platform
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates, managing expectations, and incorporating feedback into product plans
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could affect delivery timelines, quality, or outcomes
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer insights to inform strategy
  • Explore opportunities to integrate AI and emerging technologies to enhance product capabilities and team workflows

Required And Desired Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or equivalent experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in product management, ideally in a SaaS environment
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product discovery techniques (i.e. user journey mapping, persona development, problem validation)
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas through visuals and data
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as SQL, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar event-based systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills; able to balance autonomy with collaboration
  • Experience in GovTech or public sector procurement software strongly preferred
  • Background in purchasing, procurement, or RFP space highly sought after
  • Knowledge of building AI-powered features and leveraging AI tools in product management strongly desired
  • Comfort collaborating with government agencies or large enterprise clients a big plus
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (HealthTech, FinTech, etc.) highly prioritized
  • Awareness of accessibility (WCAG) and data privacy standards in SaaS products strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies like AI and how they can enhance public procurement workflows
  • Ability to maintain a focused, secure, remote workspace with minimal distractions
  • Ability to work both autonomously as well as within a team in a remote, multi-time zone environment.
