Join a team where craftsmanship meets aerospace performance. As a CNC Machining Technician, you'll move between 2–5 axis mills and lathes and conventional equipment to produce complex parts with confidence and independence. Your expertise in setups, inspection, and safe material handling will keep production on target and quality uncompromised.

How you'll contribute
  • Run multiple CNC and conventional machines (milling and turning) with minimal supervision.
  • Complete pre‑operational inspections prior to machining.
  • Read blueprints, manuals, and job specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequences, and setup details.
  • Perform complex setups yourself—adjust jaws, tools, and offsets for first‑piece success.
  • Retrieve and load parts using forklifts; handle materials safely.
  • Operate cranes and hoists to position heavy workpieces.
  • Execute test operations to confirm machine settings and programming accuracy.
  • Choose and secure tools, fixtures, and materials for each assignment.
  • Set speeds, feeds, coolant flow, and depth of cut; optimize as needed.
  • Watch the cut and make in‑process adjustments to keep dimensions on target.
  • Inspect and verify conformance to specifications before moving parts forward.
  • Record time spent on tasks using the required systems.
  • Follow daily work procedures and support continuous improvement plans.

  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Keep the area free of debris and organized.
  • Document completed job orders and keep traveler paperwork current.
  • Maintain accurate quality records.
  • Operate specialized equipment such as gun drills as needed.
  • Team up with engineers, programmers, and peers to troubleshoot machining issues.
  • Take on other duties as assigned.
Experience and education
  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience.
  • 3+ years of conventional machining experience preferred.
  • Experience with both manual and CNC machines.
  • Equivalent experience may be recognized at the discretion of hiring management.
Education
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Trade school certification or equivalent on‑the‑job experience.
Preferred certifications
  • Forklift or crane operator certification.
  • ANSI Y14.5 (GD&T) certification.
