Position Overview
Are you passionate about empowering girls to reach their full potential? Girls Inc. of Jacksonville is hiring a
Girl Smart Literacy Facilitator
to join our team. In this role, you will:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality programming.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to girls.
- Create a supportive and inspiring learning environment that promotes personal growth.
This position is grant-funded, and the salary, roles, and responsibilities are not expected to change within the first year of employment.

. Through research-based programming in a pro-girl environment, we focus on the development of the whole girl. Annually, we support over 500 girls in grades K-12 with mentoring, experiential learning, and holistic support.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Programming:
- Facilitate daily lessons using Girls Inc.'s and grant required evidence-based curricula.
- Adapt programs to meet the unique needs of participants.
- Conduct assessments to track and support girls' progress.
- Engage and Inspire:
- Serve as a role model, promoting the values of Girls Inc.
- Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.
- Build strong relationships with participants, families, and school staff.
- Support Operations:
- Assist in the creation and delivery of incentive opportunities for girls.
- Track daily attendance, maintain accurate records, and submit on time.
- Collaborate with Girls Inc. of Jacksonville leadership team to achieve organizational goals.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Engage in monthly coaching for continuous improvement.
- Qualifications
Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field preferred; equivalent education experience will be considered.
- Preferred experience as an elementary school classroom teacher.
- Experience delivering literacy-focused curriculum for grades K–3.
- Background in ELA and/or ESOL instruction preferred.
- Demonstrated strength in communication, organization, and classroom management.
- Passionate about empowering and inspiring young girls to reach their full potential.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus.

Work Environment
This role involves active engagement in classroom settings. Candidates should be prepared to work in a dynamic environment, stand for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
