As we scale, the Client Development Manager plays a key role in strengthening relationships, driving organic client growth, and ensuring a seamless handoff from new business to long-term success.
This is an inside sales role — focused on nurturing, expanding, retaining, and elevating client relationships.
OVERVIEW:
The Client Development Manager is the heartbeat of client retention and mid-funnel conversion within each Sales Pod. Once a Strategic Account Executive opens the door, the CDM steps in to deepen relationships, uncover opportunities, streamline communication, and ensure every client feels the full value of idegy.
You'll manage active accounts, reorders, seasonal campaigns, and new stakeholder outreach — always with a proactive, relational, and strategic approach. This role is both consultative and operational, blending relationship-building with collaboration across Merchandising, Marketing, Studio, and Operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Client Growth & Relationship Development
• Nurture warm leads and support early relationship building alongside Strategic Account Executives.
• Own the post-sale onboarding process and ensure a smooth transition into ongoing support.
• Build strong connections with multiple stakeholders within each account.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews, strategic touchpoints, and check-ins to stay aligned with client goals.
• Identify and develop organic growth opportunities through reorders, seasonal programs, product expansions, and new internal contacts.
Sales Support & Conversion
• Manage active deals in HubSpot — ensuring timely follow-up, accurate notes, and updated pipelines.
• Prepare quotes, coordinate merchandising needs, and support capabilities presentations as required.
• Collaborate with Marketing on targeted campaigns, personalized outreach, and client-specific content.
• Track, measure, and report weekly progress in Pod Sync meetings.
Client Experience & Retention
• Deliver a best-in-class client experience with consistent communication.
• Support idegy's retention strategy with feedback loops, surveys, and surprise-and-delight moments.
• Partner with Operations Coordinators during project execution to provide clarity, timelines, and expectations.
• Solve concerns quickly and proactively to strengthen relationships.
Strategy, Insights & Continuous Improvement
• Build 30/60/90 and annual growth plans for top accounts.
• Collaborate on LTV analysis and cross-sell strategies.
• Bring insights from client conversations back to leadership, Studio, and Marketing
• Stay informed on industry trends, upcoming retail moments, and client-relevant opportunities.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• –5+ years in account management, inside sales, or client growth roles.
• Promotional products industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM systems (preferred).
• Experience with , project management

• Highly organized, proactive, and relationship-driven.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
