Lead Excellence in Early Childhood Education
Join Atlas Immersion Academy as an Early Childhood Administrator
At Atlas Immersion Academy, you'll be a hands-on leader who partners with our team to drive operations, build community, and shape the future of early childhood education. We're seeking a dynamic administrator who combines strategic thinking with roll-up-your-sleeves practical skills.
What Makes This Opportunity Special?
Full-time, exempt position with competitive compensation based on experience, degree, and assigned responsibilities, comprehensive benefits (health insurance, paid time off, life insurance, retirement funds), free tuition for your children, and professional development opportunities. You'll guide our research-based Atlas Curriculum across all age groups (0-5 years old) while collaborating with a diverse, internationally minded educational team (our classrooms utilize a French or Spanish immersive curriculum).
Your Impact
You'll work closely with leadership to orchestrate daily operations from conducting school tours and managing budgets in Excel to overseeing facility maintenance. Your collaborative leadership spans enrollment planning, staff development, compliance oversight, and community building—where your ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and solve problems independently will shine.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Communication Excellence: Outstanding verbal and written abilities to articulate Atlas' mission to prospective families, collaborate with team members on sensitive conversations, and present operational data clearly to leadership and regulatory agencies.
- Excel & Technology Mastery: Advanced spreadsheet skills for budget tracking and enrollment analysis. Proficient with Google Suite, MS Office, database management, and scheduling software.
- Self-Starter & Team Player: Takes ownership independently while working collaboratively, proactively identifies improvements, manages competing priorities with sound judgment, and follows through consistently.
- Critical Thinking: Analyzes complex situations, balances enrollment targets with budget constraints and quality standards, and anticipates issues strategically.
- Reliable Transportation: Valid driver's license and vehicle required for travel between locations, meetings, and community events (up to 10% travel, primarily day trips).
- Practical Skills: Comfortable with basic facility maintenance tasks and a proactive approach to addressing operational needs.
What You'll Bring
Required: Central Background Registry enrollment. Meet the Oregon Department of Education Director qualifications, age 21+. Minimum 1-2 years in early childhood education with experience in staff supervision, budget management, and understanding of federal, state, and local licensing requirements.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 2 years of experience preferred (or Associate's degree with equivalent ECE experience). Oregon Food Handler's Card, First Aid/CPR certification, and Oregon training (Health & Safety, Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting, Prevention is Better than Treatment, Child Health and Safety, Foundations for Learning, Safe Sleep for Infants). Training available on-site.
Your Day-to-Day Leadership
Partner with leadership on operations, including scheduling, staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation. Support enrollment objectives, manage budgets with accurate Excel reporting, and conduct compelling tours. Collaborate on maintaining full regulatory compliance, ensuring proper staff-to-child ratios, and conducting safety inspections. Work with the team to implement enrichment programming, partner with families to meet student needs, and build community through school events. Participate in hiring, training, coaching, and retaining qualified staff while monitoring performance and contributing to a workplace culture aligned with Atlas' mission and values.
