Job Description
Are you a leader who thrives at the intersection of complex technology delivery and strategic client partnership?

CapTech is seeking a dynamic leader in Salt Lake City to spearhead a large-scale commercial application modernization program for a key client. You will be the central pillar managing and executing our technical delivery team with the client's business vision. Your mission is to ensure the flawless execution of a mission-critical tech initiative while building deep client relationships.

You are equal parts technical leader, client advisor, and business strategist. You will own the engagement's success from technical execution to client satisfaction and account growth.

  • Own the Delivery: Manage the end-to-end delivery of the application modernization project, steering it from legacy systems toward modern, scalable solutions.
  • Steer a High-Performing Team: Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, analysts, and designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Develop and manage an integrated program plan, clearly communicating milestones, mitigating risks, and resolving critical issues before they become roadblocks.
  • Roll up your sleeves to contribute to analysis, process engineering, and solution design, ensuring you are always connected to the work.
  • Champion Technical Excellence: Leverage your experience with previous IT migrations, containerization projects, and/or modern software development lifecycle engagements to guide the team and challenge the status quo.
  • Become a Trusted Advisor: Act as the primary client partner, immersing yourself in their business and culture to understand their challenges and anticipate their future needs.
  • Ensure Exceptional Experience: Manage the overall engagement to guarantee impeccable quality, delivery, and client satisfaction that turns projects into lasting partnerships.
  • Own the project's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability.
  • Establish credibility and trust with key stakeholders at all levels, becoming an indispensable part of their success.

Qualifications
Specific qualifications for the Senior Technical Project Manager / Delivery Lead position include:

  • 8+ years of experience leading complex technology projects or programs, ideally in a consulting environment.
  • 5+ years of proven success in a client-facing account management, or client relationship role.
  • Direct experience leading technical teams through application modernization, cloud migration, or similar large-scale transformation efforts.
  • Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and the wisdom to know when to blend them.
  • A strategic mindset with a demonstrated ability to assess client needs, identify gaps, and architect innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills; you can command a room, negotiate effectively, and build consensus with both technical and business audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse, multi-location teams (on-site, remote, vendor, and client) toward a common goal.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; PMP certification is a strong plus.
