Location:
Sunnyvale, CA

Type:
18-month contract with potential conversion

Pay:
60 to 65 dollars per hour (W2)

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 100 percent onsite. Includes 2 to 3 late-evening meetings per week with Asia suppliers.

About The Role
Kelly Engineering is hiring a Technical Program Manager who can lead complex engineering and manufacturing programs from concept through launch. This is not a buyer or sourcing role. It requires real technical depth, hands-on program execution, and experience working across engineering, operations, quality, manufacturing, and global suppliers.

You will own project scope, schedules, risks, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination. You will also drive supplier readiness and new tooling builds that support high-volume manufacturing. This work directly impacts upcoming product launches and overall production capability.

What You Will Do

  • Lead technical programs involving engineering, tooling, manufacturing, and supplier integration.
  • Manage projects from early concept through launch and stabilization.
  • Oversee new tooling builds, tooling qualification, and supplier onboarding activities.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams.
  • Conduct technical reviews, escalate issues, and solve problems at the engineering and manufacturing interface.
  • Own supplier relationships and ensure technical deliverables are met.
  • Track results in timeline, cost, throughput, and product quality.
  • Maintain documentation and support compliance in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Required Experience

  • 5 to 10 years in technical program management or engineering project management.
  • Hands-on experience with tooling such as injection molding, die casting, stamping, or complex mechanical components.
  • Proven success delivering programs from concept through launch in hardware or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams that include engineering, operations, and quality.
  • Strong supplier management experience and ability to drive execution across multiple partners.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Experience

  • New Product Introduction or product launch support.
  • DFM, supplier qualification, or transfer-to-manufacturing projects.
  • Experience managing tooling vendors or automation system builds.

Why This Role Matters
This position has direct impact on upcoming manufacturing and product launches. You will work on high-visibility programs, partner closely with senior engineering teams, and contribute to global readiness efforts that shape the company's long-term production strategy.
