Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

Location: Westfield, MA

Pay: $27–$36 per hour (based on experience) + 25% shift differential

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM (Second Shift)

Position Summary

We're seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team in Westfield, MA. This is a hands-on role involving the setup, operation, and adjustment of CNC milling machines to produce high-tolerance components. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in aerospace machining, solid blueprint reading abilities, and familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to meet production requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and operation instructions accurately
• Load tools, set offsets, and make on-the-fly program edits as needed
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision tools
• Troubleshoot machining issues and work closely with Programming and Quality teams to resolve them
• Replace or adjust tooling to maintain efficiency and part quality
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Complete all documentation per AS9100/ISO 9001 requirements, including revision control and traceability
• Assist with other production floor tasks as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a CNC machinist in a precision or aerospace manufacturing environment
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation
• Skilled in the use of inspection tools and equipment
• Capable of editing CNC programs and adjusting machine settings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and keen attention to detail
• Able to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Physical & Work Environment

• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Work is performed on a production floor with typical exposure to machine noise, oils, cutting fluids, and moving equipment
• PPE required (e.g., safety glasses, proper footwear)
