Position Overview

As a Delivery Driver for Veruca, you'll play a key role in delivering orders quickly, accurately, and with the exceptional customer experience that defines our brand. You'll be the friendly face that brings groceries right to our customers' doors — representing Veruca's commitment to quality, community, and care.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position — you'll use your own vehicle to complete deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up grocery orders from one of Veruca's micro-warehouses or our San Marcos facility
  • Deliver orders quickly, safely, and accurately to customers within the North County area
  • Provide friendly, professional service and uphold Veruca's customer experience standards on every delivery
  • Communicate promptly with our dispatch/operations team via app or text regarding delivery status
  • Handle items with care to maintain product freshness and quality
  • Maintain a clean, reliable vehicle suitable for grocery delivery

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Reliable, clean personal vehicle
  • Smartphone with data plan (for delivery app access and communication)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (groceries, beverages, etc.)
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and strong attention to detail
