Job Overview:

We seek an experienced, Class B delivery driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be safe, detail oriented, customer service focused, and produce experience is a plus, plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Provide exceptional customer service while making deliveries

· Load and organize product into delivery vehicle according to route delivery sequence and company's specifications

· Pick-up all delivery paperwork from dispatch and thoroughly read customer comments before delivery

· Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspection (low tire pressure, tire wear, dents etc.) and report any issues

· Perform equipment safety inspections and report unsafe equipment or other workplace hazards to supervisor

· Drive company vehicle while adhering to rules and regulations of the road at all times

· Down-stacks pallets in trucks and unload deliveries

· Note delivery issues or other concerns on sales paperwork, return daily

· Drive safely and responsibly according to CHP laws and regulations

· Listen and communicate with management to resolve service complaints

· Regularly lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs

· Sit for long periods of time, while driving, stoop, stand, kneel, crouch, push and pull

Requirements:

· Bilingual English/Spanish is a benefit for this role

· Strictly follow company produce handling procedures

· Must pass pre-employment background, physical, drug screen, and DMV motor vehicle report

· Valid California Drivers License

· Must be able to meet company vehicle insurance requirements - (must be at least 21 years of age)

· Driver must maintain a valid CA driver license and DMV record must meet the company's policy to perform driving duties

· Basic writing, reading and speaking English language skills

· Customer service skills

· Ability to read maps, use a GPS and/or have a good sense of direction

· Some basic technological proficiency required to operate cell phones, etc

· Ability to perform the primary functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

· Schedule: Interested candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule and overtime hours as required by business operations

· Hours: Must be flexible to start between 4 am - 8am

· The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical equipment such as lift gates, pull-out unloading ramps, dock ramps, forklifts, pallet movers, hand trucks, load locks, doors and other related equipment

· Field of work includes warehouse and outside weather conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
