About the Role:
Join Zipcar's HR team as an HR Co-op This role is ideal for a student eager to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources and Talent Management. You'll contribute to real projects, collaborate with a mission-driven team, and grow professionally in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
What You'll Do:
Lead and coordinate the company's Co-op Program, including scheduling events, managing communications, and facilitating student engagement initiatives.
Organize and execute Lunch and Learn sessions, performance discussions, and other employee development activities.
Document HR processes to ensure clarity, consistency, and continuous improvement across HR functions.
Support new hire onboarding, including orientation logistics, system setup, and first-day coordination.
Assist with employee engagement programs, surveys, and recognition initiatives.
Collaborate with the HR team on special projects and provide administrative support as needed.
Analyze data to inform decisions or strategies
Present findings or contribution to team meetings
What You'll Learn:
Gain a comprehensive understanding of HR operations, including systems, processes, and compliance practices.
Understand the fundamentals of HR operations and employee lifecycle management.
Gain experience in program management and event coordination.
Develop professional communication and organizational skills.
Contribute to process improvements that enhance HR efficiency and employee experience.
What We're Looking For:
Currently pursuing a degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus.
Proficiency in analyzing and presenting data in a compelling way.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Good-Faith Salary Range:
The hourly rate for this position is between $20-24 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
