Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Brunch Kitchen Manager for our River/Craycroft location at 5605 E River Road, Tucson, AZ The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with a passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

This role starts as a kitchen manager in training. If you excel, you will be offered the kitchen manager position in the first or second week. As a manager in training, you will be offered the training rate which will be discussed during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
  • Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
  • Implement and maintain food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations.
  • Utilize homebase or like application for scheduling
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service during restaurant hours.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes for kitchen staff.
  • Develop training programs for new employees focusing on culinary skills, customer service, and safety practices.
  • Monitor kitchen performance metrics and assist in budgeting for kitchen operations.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, leadership, and professional development.

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within quick paced kitchens.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant management principles, including shift management and team management.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff effectively.
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting practices in the food industry.
  • Experience in supervising kitchen operations with a focus on quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
  • Background in kitchen management
  • Ability to proficiently work all stations
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs and stand on feet for extended periods of time.
  • Must be serve safe manager certified or like qualification or ability to pass one.

Job Type: Full-time
