Role Overview:

The Branch Manager plays a pivotal role in the overall company success by growing and managing Multi-Family relationships, projects, and profitable revenue within their branch area. Additionally, the Branch Manager will oversee warehouse operations to ensure efficient supply chain management and timely delivery of customer orders. The successful Branch Manager will leverage their industry knowledge and expertise to support existing and land new business relationships; estimate, bid, and close profitable projects; and effectively oversee project completions in a timely and quality manner. Furthermore, the Branch Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Multi-Family, providing regular updates on branch performance, operational developments, and strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with the company's overall objectives.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Revenue Growth: Achieve and surpass assigned revenue targets in alignment with the company's overall business and financial objectives. Consistently drive sales growth across accounts.
  • Profit Margins: Meet or exceed profit margin goals for your branch multi-family division. Ensure that revenue growth is balanced with cost management to maintain healthy profit margins.
  • Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with functions like HR, purchasing, and warehouse to leverage shared services for efficiency.
  • Customer Satisfaction & Retention: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional experiences from initial contact. Continuously build customer loyalty and retention by addressing client needs proactively and resolving issues swiftly.
  • Team Support & Flexibility: Provide timely and effective support to the team and other departments as needed, contributing to overall company success. Demonstrate flexibility by assisting with tasks outside the immediate scope of the role when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Current Business: Manage existing multi-family customer relationships to ensure the company maintains and grows profitable revenue from those relationships.
  • New Business: Prospect for and land good-fit new business opportunities in the multi-family segment, including systematically capturing more account share from property owner/management companies with multiple locations. Collaborate with relevant business divisions when opportunities outside multi-family are uncovered.
  • Account Management:
  • Measure all scopes of work and create accurate estimates.
  • Estimate and bid on projects, including take-offs, design (where needed), product selections, pricing, and proposals.
  • Cultivate trusted relationships with customers by consistently delivering high-quality service and products.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication with all stakeholders to maintain timelines and completion dates.
  • Provide proactive solutions and address any issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction and efficiency.
  • Leverage industry knowledge to offer valuable insights and recommendations to customers, enhancing their overall experience.
  • Follow all standard, company-established processes and continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and services to better meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Logistics: Partner with company resources for scheduling installs, deliveries, pickups, and transfers, and provide accurate documentation for pick tickets, work orders, and billing for installers.
  • Processes: Consistently adhere to the processes and guidelines established in our company to create a smooth and mutually beneficial internal relationship.
  • Financials: Ensure accurate and timely invoicing on all projects and manage accounts receivable as needed.
  • Communication: Maintain clear, effective, and timely communication with internal team members, installation crews, and customers to ensure project timelines and completion dates are met.
  • Warehouse Operations:
  • Receiving and Inspecting: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders. Report any discrepancies or damages.
  • Stocking and Inventory: Process, label, and store incoming stock. Organize products in designated locations and conduct regular inventory counts. Maintain clear records on all inventory and stock.
  • Order Picking: Accurately pick and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly packed and labeled.
  • Packing and Shipping: Pack orders securely, generate shipping labels and documentation, and coordinate with carriers and installers.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Perform routine maintenance and report any malfunctions.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring all areas are free from clutter and debris.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff and departments to achieve operational goals and assist with other tasks as needed.

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in multi-family or related flooring industries.
  • Warehouse Skills: Demonstrates strong organizational skills, flexibility, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50 – 100 lbs.).
  • Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Beneficial Qualifications: Previous warehouse experience, valid forklift certification, Spanish speaking, experience in the flooring industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000.00 per year
