Primary Services is actively recruiting for a
Revenue Accountant
to support a major client in the oil and gas industry. This role provides an exceptional opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to develop a comprehensive understanding of revenue, cost, and financial operations within a global organization. In this position, you will support revenue recognition, cost allocation, and financial reporting activities, collaborating closely with both on-site and shared service center teams to ensure accuracy and compliance across accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly and forecast production estimates in coordination with the geosciences team and assist with production analysis.
  • Ensure accurate and timely collection of Accounts Receivable related to gas revenues.
  • Review and confirm postings made by the accounting shared service center.
  • Estimate and record monthly revenue accruals.
  • Record journal entries for JV Production Costs, Capex, Payables, ARO, Opex allocations, Taxes, and Intercompany transactions.
  • Perform SAP account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Assist with quarter-end close activities and reconciliation between Galaxy and CAP systems.
  • Monitor Joint Venture billings and provide input for Capex, Opex, and Volume tracking tools.
  • Obtain approvals and process Joint Interest Billings (JIBs) and Authorizations for Expenditures (AFEs) in accordance with financial policies.
  • Review Loan and Deposit summaries, ensuring accurate asset assignments and SAP alignment.
  • Load and verify monthly financial data in Galaxy/Galyz, ensuring consistency with SAP.
  • Perform control checks, investigate discrepancies, and support preparation of executive financial presentations.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to enhance reporting accuracy and streamline accounting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret and reconcile complex financial data.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
