Bus Driver

This position is for a full-time construction shuttle bus driver: Monday-Friday, 6:30 am - 3:30 pm, driving a 1 mile route transporting construction workers to and from parking and a construction jobsite.

Responsibilities of the Shuttle Bus Driver:

• Operate Shuttle Bus on assigned routes maintaining established time schedules
• Maintain schedules and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Respond to inquiries and ensure appropriate information is provided.
• Assist passengers as required including in any emergency situations.
• Provide information to supervisor regarding route problems or traffic changes.
• Perform pre-operation safety inspections; request servicing and repairs as needed.
• Maintain all required passenger and vehicle records.
• Provide detailed reports of accidents or incidents to management.
• Follow safety guidelines and practice safety procedures.

Education & Experience Requirements of the Shuttle Bus Driver:

• Arizona Class B CDL with Passenger (P) Endorsement
• Current DOT Physical Long Form
• Current Refresher Course and Physical Performance Test
• DOT and DPS drug test will be administered if hired
• Minimum 2 years experience in Bus Driving
• No history of DUI/impaired driving record or violations
• Must be 21 years or older
• High School Diploma required
• Ability to communicate and work productively with staff and passengers

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, talk and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision. The employee is also required to frequently inspect the vehicle and may be exposed to ongoing construction jobsite and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. The employee is also required to use computers, phones and other technology on a daily basis.

Pay & Benefits for the Shuttle Bus Driver:

• Salary: $25.00-$27.00 depending on experience
