Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving growth through strategic outside sales, managing key accounts, and expanding our market presence. This role requires a proactive approach to lead generation, territory management, and building strong customer relationships across B2B sales channels. The Business Development Specialist will leverage their expertise in sales, marketing, and technology solutions to identify new opportunities and foster long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Manage existing accounts while expanding client relationships through upselling and cross-selling strategies.
  • Conduct product demos and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the value of our solutions.
  • Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track leads, manage customer interactions, and analyze sales data for continuous improvement.
  • Engage in cold calling, direct sales efforts, and territory management to generate new leads and grow the customer base.
  • Negotiate contracts and proposals with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that support company goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns that enhance brand awareness and lead generation efforts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions that foster loyalty.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies relevant to our products and services.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or business development roles with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or other CRM tools for managing sales pipelines and customer data.
  • Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in territory management, lead generation, cold calling, and direct sales strategies.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, technology sales, account management, and product demos is highly desirable.
  • Ability to analyze sales data effectively to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • A proactive mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
