Role: Electrical Engineer/Product Engineer (HVAC)
Location: Tempe Arizona, USA ## Onsite ## Contract
JOB Description
• Lead and support activities to ensure manufacturing, installation, and operational testing meet design and functional requirements.
• Design electrical components, systems, and equipment for commercial and industrial applications.
• Create accurate electrical layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams for various systems.
• Develop and maintain design documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs) and electrical specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and product requirements.
• Support the manufacturing and installation process by providing technical guidance and resolving design-related issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Analyze existing designs for potential issues and propose effective solutions to optimize safety, performance, and manufacturability.
• Perform load calculations and select appropriate electrical components to ensure system efficiency and safety.
• Diagnose and resolve moderate to complex technical issues related to electrical systems.
• Support product development initiatives, ensuring designs align with engineering and business objectives.
• Assist in testing finished products and systems to validate performance and reliability.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, schematics, and test procedures.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a product-focused role.
• Proficiency in designing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical components and systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and innovative approach to design challenges.
• Working knowledge of applicable standards and regulations, including NEC, IEEE, and other industry-specific codes.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in CAD/SolidWorks software for electrical design.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (e.g. NEC, IEC).
• Ability to perform electrical load calculation and component selection.
