 Where we work Owner is a remote-first, global company headquartered in San Francisco, with a sales hub in Toronto. For a few of our roles we prioritize in-person collaboration at one of our office locations. Most of our teammates are distributed throughout the globe. Why we're looking for you At Owner, we believe that the path to helping small business owners succeed includes building world-class consumer experiences. We want your equip favorite local restaurant with digital offerings as intuitive, delightful, and trusted as those created by companies like Apple, Airbnb, and Robinhood - meeting and surpassing the guest expectations set by hugely popular third-party marketplaces and big national chains. We're looking for a craft-oriented, details-obsessed product manager to help deliver on this vision.
In this role, you'll partner closely with our talented design and engineering teams to build an exceptional guest-facing online ordering experience that delivers meaningful revenue growth for all of Owner's restaurant customers.
While Owner is a remote-first company, for this role we are prioritizing SF Bay Area candidates who can work out of our lovely office in the Presidio at least twice a week. The impact you will have
  • Develop the roadmap for guest-facing ordering, balancing growth initiatives, experience improvements, and big strategic bets
  • Drive more guests to order directly from Owner customers by making the experience fast, clear, and easy
  • Use AI to optimize customers' menu presentation at scale across tens of thousands of restaurant menus
  • Elevate usability, accessibility, and product delight across every interaction
  • Help become the most loved brand in restaurant software
Who you'll work with
  • You'll partner deeply with Design and Engineering to build polished, intuitive experiences that deliver value to our restaurant customers and their guests
  • You'll collaborate with Data/BizOps to identify and size opportunities, define KPIs, and understand impact
  • You'll work with our customer-facing Launch, Customer Success, and Support teams to ensure we have the right inputs to create the high-performing guest experiences for each customer restaurant
  • You'll work with our go-to-market teams to ensure that customers and prospects understand the value delivered by Owner's guest-facing experiences
What we're looking for
  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Ability to get things done: you have a track record of shipping software that made a difference for your customers
  • Excellent product sense: you have a good understanding of what makes for a high-quality product and are opinionated about what solutions will be successful
  • Deep customer empathy: you care about helping your customers and are skilled at performing research to uncover their true needs
  • Strong data fluency: you effectively gather and integrate quantitative and qualitative data to inform your decision-making and update your intuition
  • Proficiency handling ambiguity: you make sure your goals are clearly defined and display significant independence in achieving them
  • Clear written and verbal communication: you're a force for clarity and alignment, ensuring everyone's on the same page
  • Competence with technical complexity: you can understand the high-level architecture of a product and its implications for the customer experience, and you're comfortable talking with engineers about project scope and tradeoffs
Pay and benefits
  • The estimated starting base salary range for this role is $190-230K, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package
