We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team, providing essential administrative and legal support to the managing attorney and senior paralegal. This position plays a critical role in helping our clients navigate divorce and family law matters with compassion and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming phone calls and communications with clients, potential clients, and opposing counsel
  • Schedule meetings, hearings, and appointments for attorneys and paralegals
  • Electronically file (e-file) legal documents and organize incoming pleadings in digital case files
  • Draft routine family law documents under attorney supervision
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations of the firm
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all client and case interactions
  • Collaborate in a team environment committed to high-quality client service

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Florida family law and law office procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or in administrative legal support
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Clio or similar legal practice management software
  • Ability to work independently and maintain discretion with sensitive information
  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Law, or a related field (preferred)
  • Customer service-oriented, with a sincere desire to assist clients through challenging legal situations
