Position Goal

Perform designated routine tasks related to the operation of the occupational therapy service and may assist with patient related activities which are pre-determined for each patient and assigned by the Occupational Therapist.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Occupational Therapists in service delivery for therapeutic exercise and wound care.
  • Responsible for maintaining/cleaning clinic equipment and workstations.
  • Responsible for inventory and ordering clinic supplies as needed.
  • Assist in administrative clinic duties such as answering phone, scheduling appointments, OSHA record keeping, reporting, filing, reviewing/completing insurance paperwork etc.
  • Responsible for the coordination/flow of patients while in the hand clinic.
  • General cleaning of equipment used in OT services.

Experience:

Required:

  • None.

Preferred:

  • Experience in health care setting and medical terminology.

Education:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Special Qualifications:

Required:

  • May require working at multiple locations.
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) may be required.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Must have basic computer and office equipment experience.
