POSITION TITLE:

Title I Tutor, Part Time

Certified Teacher -Teacher Salary Schedule

Non-Certified: $15.00 hourly

WORK DAYS:

Max. 19 hours weekly

LOCATION:

Reese Road Leadership Academy

REPORTS TO:

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Tutors will provide academic assistance to students who need to strengthen academic skills in Math and Literacy. Tutoring hours will be 8:00am - 11:00am Monday thru Thursday.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Educational Level:

Minimum of two years of college. (Prefer degree related to education and/or child development.)

  1. Certification/License:

N/A

  1. Experience:

Successful experience working with middle grade students in an instructional setting is preferred.

  1. Physical Activities:

Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.

  1. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Written and oral communication; instructional strategies that connect the curriculum to the learners; student management

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
  • Provide instructional support enhance math and reading skill to students with disabilities.
  • Assesses student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents and administration.
  • Collaborates with instructional staff and other school personnel, parents for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes.
  • Prepares a variety of written materials (e.g. attendance, anecdotal records, etc.) for the purpose of documenting student progress and meeting mandated requirements.
  • Responds to questions from a variety of sources (e.g. other teachers, parents, administrators, etc.) for the purpose of resolving issues, providing information and/or direction.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
