Main Purpose Of JobThe main purpose of this position is to process pregnant, postpartum and infant referrals received by the ACCU Program for all Medicaid eligible/pending recipients. This position will provide medical assistance (MA) and HealthChoice education, as well as navigation support and community resources, to recipients, health care providers and Local Health Department (LHD) staff. This position will also compile and submit reports to the ACCU Program Supervisor and enter client data while maintaining client records according to program guidelines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of experience performing administrative staff, clerical, clerical technical, or secretarial work.
Notes:
Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in ing and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
The desired candidate should possess the following:1. Experience in health insurance or federal or state entitlement programs, including experience in care coordination.2. Experience/knowledge of county and state program resources.3. Experience/knowledge of Medicaid/HealthChoice Program policies, including eligibility requirements, benefits, services, navigation, complaint processes and related services.4. Experience interpreting and ing a variety of laws, policies and regulations, and following standard operating procedures.5. Experience gathering and compiling statistical data for monthly reports.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSCandidates may be responsible for providing their own transportation as needed to access meetings, remote locations, and job destinations as assigned.
