Job Type: Part-Time
Location: 47 Edison Pl, Newark, New Jersey, 07108
As a Safety Officer at City Night-Life Entertainment Corp, you will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing safety standards throughout the venue to ensure the well-being of guests, employees, and property. You will conduct routine inspections, assist in risk assessments, and support emergency response efforts to maintain a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Monitor adherence to alcohol service laws and venue safety policies
- Assist in implementing safety procedures and emergency response plans
- Report and document safety incidents, hazards, and near-misses promptly and accurately
- Collaborate with security personnel and management to address safety concerns
- Provide safety information and guidance to staff and patrons as needed
- Participate in safety training sessions and help promote a culture of safety awareness
- Assist in crowd control and occupancy monitoring during events
- Stay updated on relevant health and safety regulations and best practices
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a safety or security role, preferably within hospitality, nightlife, or entertainment industries
- Solid understanding of safety regulations, emergency procedures, and risk management
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff and guests
- Calm and decisive under pressure, especially in emergency situations
- Basic knowledge of alcohol service laws and crowd management techniques
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, CPR) are a plus
