The Republic on Grand is a rooftop lounge on the 6th floor of AC Hotel Des Moines East Village. Our credo: Sip, Relax, and Repeat We are looking for bartenders to create unique experiences in one of the most beautiful venues in downtown Des Moines' East Village. The Republic on Grand boasts 180 degree skyline views of downtown Des Moines. With a rooftop outdoor space and a private dining room encased in glass, this entire venue is completely brand new and unlike any other venue in the downtown area. Located at 401 E Grand it is right in the heart of the vibrant East Village. With craft cocktail/beer and food menus that pays homage to it's fantastic location.

We are seeking energetic, friendly, and hard-working individuals to join our team as Seasonal Bartenders and Servers. In this dual role, you will provide exceptional service to our guests, create memorable experiences, and contribute to a vibrant atmosphere.

Bartender Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guidelines.

  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area.

  • Engage with customers, provide recommendations, and ensure a positive dining and drinking experience.

  • Check identification to verify legal age for alcohol consumption.

  • Manage cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly.

Server Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.

  • Present menus and provide information about food and drink options.

  • Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.

  • Serve food and beverages in a timely fashion, ensuring high standards of presentation and customer satisfaction.

  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism.

  • Clear and reset tables following dining experiences.

  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 40 lbs].

  • Ability to navigate a busy environment while maintaining a positive demeanor.
