Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service to ensure a positive dining experience
  • Take orders accurately using POS systems such as Toast
  • Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including assembling orders and ensuring food safety standards are met
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food handling protocols
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly and keep the restaurant running smoothly
  • Support food industry best practices by following proper sanitation procedures and food safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service flow in a quick service or fast-food restaurant environment
  • Assist in stocking supplies and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the café or retail area

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service, restaurant work, or retail environments, with a strong understanding of customer service principles
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards within the food industry or grocery store settings
