Description: Agile5 Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Contract Specialist to provide expert, cradle-to-grave contract administration for domestic Government contracts. This role demands in-depth knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations and all contract types. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overall contract compliance, leading strategic contract negotiations, and supporting proposal preparation while efficiently managing a portfolio of contracts in a fast-paced environment.

Contracts Specialist Job Duties:

  • Provide cradle-to-grave contract administration for domestic CP, FFP, and T&M Government contracts.
  • Prepare contractual agreements using current research methods and knowledge of client needs.
  • Collaborate with the proposal, pricing, and accounting teams.
  • Ensure that the terms of contractual agreements are written in legally binding language.
  • Fulfill the terms of, modify, and/or terminate contracts on mutually amicable terms.
  • Review contract terms and conditions to verify compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations (FAR/DFARS).
  • Clearly explain contract terminology to clients and other interested parties in simple, everyday language.
  • Self-monitor progress according to the schedule of completion to submit drafts and documents in a timely manner.
  • Proofread, edit, and fact-check documents for accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct RFP analysis, hands-on proposal development and review, and the development of terms and conditions.
  • Review and negotiate non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and licenses.
  • Solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound business decisions.
  • Resolve performance issues, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.

Security Clearance Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen. No clearance required

Experience Requirements: Requires 2-5 years of prior relevant experience (or a Master's degree with 2-3 years of prior relevant experience). Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of domestic contracting and U.S. Government regulations (FAR / DFARS), experience with all contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, IDIQ, GSA, etc.), and proven ability to handle multiple contractual activities with a short turn-around time. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively and independently to develop creative solutions within a small team environment and possess strong communication skills.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, other related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Desired Skills / Qualifications: Experience with contracting, FMS, DCS, large IDIQs, and multiple active task orders directly with the U.S. Government is preferred. Strong knowledge of negotiation best practices, Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and license agreements is highly desirable. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook) is required.

Location: Remote except in California, Colorado, New Jersey and New York. Local to WV preferred.

Status: Full time

Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday

Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations of time. Also, must be able to continuously operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.

Travel Required: No travel required.
