Murphy Chamber of Commerce Executive Director (Part-Time, ~30 Hours/Week)

Are you a connector, event planner, and community builder who thrives on bringing people together? The Murphy

Chamber of Commerce is seeking an Executive Director to strengthen relationships, coordinate impactful events,

and enhance the Chamber's presence in the city.

What You'll Do

  • Expand the Chamber's network by building strong relationships with businesses, city officials, and

community leaders.

  • Manage and execute Chamber events like weekly Business Card Exchanges, monthly luncheons, city

events, and the annual gala.

  • Represent the Chamber at local events and meetings to strengthen partnerships and increase

membership.

  • Support membership development by attending ribbon cuttings, fostering business relationships, and

maintaining member engagement.

  • Ensure strong communication and outreach to promote Chamber events and initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • A natural relationship builder who enjoys networking and making connections.

  • Experience in event planning, community engagement, or business development.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills to engage members and community leaders.

  • Tech-savvy with basic proficiency in email, word processing, and event management tools.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with volunteers and committees.

Additional Details

  • Part-time role (~30 hours/week) with flexible scheduling.

  • Requires some evening and weekend event attendance.

  • Physical Requirements: Driving, walking, standing, lifting up to 25 lbs, and occasional overhead lifting.

  • This is an in-person job located in Murphy, Texas.
