Automotive Mechanic Technician

Our Automotive Service Center is looking for a talented "Automotive Mechanic Technician" to join our team. Locally owned and operated, we have 13 of the finest and most efficient repair shops in the Indianapolis, IN area and require excellence from our devoted staff. Our Mechanic Technician must have the experience and dedication necessary to provide our customers with optimum service. We service a variety of passenger and small truck vehicles.

We need your experience and technical expertise. You have worked hard to get to where you are but it is about more than just fixing cars. Your knowledge of the automotive repair industry is EXACTLY what our customer require and deserve.

In your role as Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer experience by:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
  • Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
  • Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
  • Keep service center management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
  • Maintain an organized and neat bay.
  • Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules.

Qualifications:

  • Able to work as part of a great team devoted to the customer.
  • The ability to adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals/customers.
  • Experience in both minor and major automotive passenger and light truck repairs.
  • ASE Certified a plus but not required.
  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
