Overview:
AVIAN is seeking an Administrative Assistant (Journeyman) to provide administrative support to executive staff with office management responsibilities to include clerical and personnel records. The Administrative Assistant Journeyman may be required to assist on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materials in addition to secretarial duties (filing, taking phone calls, scheduling appointments).

Responsibilities:
- Routine clerical and administrative functions.
- Drafting correspondence.
- Scheduling appointments
- Organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files.
- Answering phones calls and directing them accordingly
- Update and maintain personnel security files
- Assist with more senior positions, and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- 3 to 10 years of experience.
- A Bachelor Degree may be substituted for four years of experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
Desired Experience:
- Knowledge of BASICS II (Base Access Security Information Control System).
- Knowledge of Defense Travel System
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
- Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000 (The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.)
