Overhead Garage Door Service Technician

WeFixIt Garage Doors is expanding into the Reno area, and we are searching for an experienced Garage Door Technician who wants more than "just a job." This is a ground-floor opportunity for the right person to help build and eventually own the Reno WeFixIt franchise.

This position begins as a Service Technician/Installer, grows into a General Manager role supervising additional technicians, and ultimately leads to franchise ownership once performance milestones and training benchmarks are met.

This is a service-area position. You will park your company-provided van at home and serve customers throughout Reno, Sparks, and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair, preventative maintenance, and installation of residential and light commercial overhead doors and openers
• (Optional but valued) Experience with electronic gate systems
• Provide world-class customer service and communicate clearly with customers
• Follow all safety standards, codes, and regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and accurate inventory
• Inspect job sites before and after work
• Honor our five-year workmanship warranty
• Represent WeFixIt with professionalism, friendliness, and integrity

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in garage door repair/installation is required
• Mechanically and technically inclined
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• High integrity and willingness to learn
• Comfortable admitting mistakes and asking for help when needed
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks (bending, climbing, kneeling, etc.)
• Able to work some evenings/weekends when needed
• Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude
• Must be eager for growth, responsibility, and eventual leadership

Compensation

This is a full-time, year-round, commission-based role.

Our technicians average $27–$35 per hour based on performance and skill level.

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
