Custodial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: This hybrid position will support our custodial team & facilities team by cleaning and maintaining various spaces as well as perform general repairs to various facilities within the downtown Tulsa Arts District campus.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building
  • Performs minor repairs and maintenance
  • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs
  • Performs general repairs & preventative maintenance that do not require a specialized technician.
  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities and make-ready of apartment units
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Efficient problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented and thorough
  • Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
  • Ability to interact with team, residential tenants, commercial tenants, and suppliers/contractors while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must pass a background check and have a clean driving record
  • Previous experience in related field preferred
  • On the job training offered

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time

Hours and Location

  • The main office for this position is located at 303 N Main Street, Tulsa OK 74103.
  • Our standard work week is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.
  • While the typical schedule is weekdays, there may be occasional requirements to work weekends, evenings, or non-traditional hours.
  • This role may involve local travel to different events or worksites.
