Position Overview: We're seeking an experienced Permit Expediter to manage all permitting activities for residential and commercial plumbing projects across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, submit, and track permit applications with local building departments
  • Maintain relationships with plan reviewers and building officials across South Florida jurisdictions
  • Coordinate inspections and resolve code compliance issues
  • Monitor permit status and proactively address delays or rejections
  • Maintain organized records of all permits, licenses, and regulatory documentation
  • Stay current on local code changes and building department requirements
  • Communicate permit status updates to project managers and customers

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of permit expediting experience in South Florida (plumbing, construction, or mechanical trades)
  • Established relationships with Miami-Dade, Broward, and/or Palm Beach County building departments
  • Deep knowledge of Florida Building Code and local amendments
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency with permit tracking software and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Certified General Contractor or Building Inspector license
  • Experience with commercial plumbing projects
  • Familiarity with backflow prevention regulations
