CAREER ACADEMY INSTRUCTOR

JOB DESCRIPTION: Medical Academy Instructors report to the Director of Career Academy. Instructors have a broad range of responsibilities in two primary areas: (1) Teaching and Learning, and (2) Professional Responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS: Medical Academy Instructors must be cleared by the Sponsor and hold a valid vocational certificate from the Sponsor. Extensive experience related to the assigned career academy and a degree from a four-year university are desirable.

DUTIES:

  • Merical Academy Instructors must demonstrate competency in the following areas related to Teaching and Learning:
  • Management of Student Conduct
  • Human Development and Learning
  • Presentation of Subject Matter
  • Communication, Knowledge of Subject Matter
  • Learning Environment
  • Planning
  • Assessment
  • Medical Academy Instructors must demonstrate competency in the following areas related to Professional Responsibilities:
  • Technology
  • Record Keeping
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Working Relationships with Coworkers
  • Working Relationships with Parents
  • Policies/Procedures/Ethics
  • Other Duties as Assigned by the School Administration including attendance at all department meetings, faculty meetings, weekly extended-day trainings, and Open Houses.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53, $67,900.00 per year
