Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles and diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The technician will utilize advanced diagnostic tools, schematics, and hand and power tools to deliver high-quality service to our customers. A commitment to customer satisfaction and safety standards is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
  • Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, alignments, and diesel engines as needed.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to replace or repair vehicle parts efficiently.
  • Perform vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
  • Repair or replace automotive electrical systems, ADAS components, and other electronic modules.
  • Conduct welding and mechanical repairs as required for vehicle safety and performance improvements.
  • Use auto estimating software to assess repair needs and communicate effectively with customers regarding service recommendations.
  • Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Assist in training junior technicians when necessary, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Experience

  • Proven dealership experience or service technician experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics, and electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with GM vehicles and diesel engine repair highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with automotive service procedures including alignment, transmission repair, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Experience working with automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and ADAS technology.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices.
  • Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills for effective communication with clients.
  • Prior auto estimating experience is a plus but not required. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment dedicated to quality service delivery while developing your skills further within the automotive industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
