Commercial Special Projects Foreman

Magnolia Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is looking for a special individual that would be a good fit for our new position in Commercial Special Project department. The Foreman is the primary field leader responsible for executing mechanical and plumbing scopes efficiently, safely, and per spec. This role oversees daily operations, manages labor and material coordination, and ensures clear communication with leadership, clients, and other trades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily crew huddles and assign tasks based on manpower and scope
- Manage workflow to meet short-interval production targets
- Interpret construction drawings, mechanical layouts, submittals, and specifications
- Coordinate with GCs, inspectors, and other trades to avoid schedule conflicts
- Use Bluebeam to review drawings, provide redlines, and track install progression
- Maintain accurate as-built documentation and submit redlines regularly
- Complete and submit daily logs with photos, manpower tracking, and updates
- Track and report material usage, backorders, and deliveries
- Use Excel or company-approved forms for time tracking, material sheets, and schedule planning
- Conduct routine QA/QC checks for code compliance, layout accuracy, and cleanliness
- Enforce all safety policies and conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and toolbox talks
- Train, mentor, and discipline crew members as needed — especially Lead Men and Apprentices
- Communicate field issues clearly and promptly to Superintendent or Project Manager
Requirements
- 7–8 years field experience in mechanical or plumbing trades
- 2+ years experience in a leadership role (Lead Man or above)
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- OSHA 10 (required), OSHA 30 (preferred and will be expected to obtain after hiring)
- Trade license or card preferred (Journeyman or above)

Salary Description
$38 - $45 hourly
